superwooper- sunday
Aside from the heavy-hearted atmosphere that has plagued the church, today was a good day. the Li family went to suntec city - our latest sunday hangout (after we exhausted all the eateries at junction8 after 3 sundays). we conquered marina sq. briefly last week.

daddy says my greatest achievement today was prolly getting a replacement superman t-shirt from the stores. it started off like that in the morning before we evacuated home in a hurry (quite as usual).

dad: hey, why are you not wearing your superman shirt...
me: DON'T talk about that. dont mention the shirt...
mum: oh...hoho.
me: the superman logo has come off after one wash. mummy. you shouldnt have used the machine on it for the first wash...
mum: hey. i considered the shirt quality and turned it inside out already.
dad: go ask for a replacement! why do you think it's your fault?
me: im sure they will give a replacement.
dad: they might even give you a free shirt for compensation.
me: (mutters) no...
dad: i'll help you ask.

but in the end, i stepped up to the fierce looking man (with my daddy behind me - literally and figuratively) and told him about the lousy good myself. Cause i figured i rather risk having no replacement than have my dad grill the guy and tear down the 'superheroes' shop. heh. [though i had an evil plot that if the guy was rude to me, i'll speak up and turn some heads in the crowded shop. who knows, all the potential-customers will evacuate the store at the bad publicity]

luckily for me and for mr. shopboss, he was smart enough to get me a replacement. If the replacement good is still horrible, i shall be very upset.

settled down for coffee, toast and icecream for tea. and we engaged in relatively intellectual talk about many things i guess? religion, church, politics, japan, brands, asics sports shoes, washing machines.

snippet: my daddy says he avoids purchasing japanese goods e.g. the washing machine.
dad: like, i rather buy samsung.
me: korean brand?
dad: yeh. i rather spend more to buy korean brand the other time
me: cos of...politics?
dad: hahaha. yeah! their whole policy/diplomacy blahblah...
me: abe's worse than koizumi?
dad: yeh (yadayadablahblahblah) anyway korean's technology is very improved now too. it's not like 10 years ago when japanese products filled the stores cos they had good technology...
me: (thinks - hm...but i want the asics shoes for saturday jogs leh. best asian brand leh.)
dad: (oh. then we talked abt abe not having kids, abt jap war heroes) - my dad was a history student who eventually did economics/finance/banking.

then, at the Awesome suggestion of my sis, we ate at newyorknewyork at citylink. (nah, she didnt bribe me for this) The food was not bad, quite cheap. but the bestest thing was the free green-apple flavoured cotton candy. got to make my own cotton candy and we just sat there heaping on sugar for dessert. the waitresses/ manager there were really friendly too. i like.

then walked around somemore, and came home at 8. my dad is making coffee and i've placed my order for a cup too. ok. coffee and jelly. uhm. later re-brush my teeth la. anything for food =
